Titanium Grade Beta C
Titanium Beta C wire is a high-strength metastable beta titanium alloy developed for demanding applications where a combination of strength, toughness, fatigue resistance and good formability is required. Commonly identified as Ti-3Al-8V-6Cr-4Mo-4Zr, Beta C can achieve significantly higher strength levels than commercially pure titanium and many conventional alpha-beta titanium grades, while retaining useful cold-working characteristics in the solution-treated condition. It is particularly suited to spring, fastener and high-performance engineering applications where high elastic strength and resistance to fatigue are important. Through controlled heat treatment, Beta C can be aged to develop very high mechanical properties, making it a strong option for components where weight reduction and strength are critical.
