WINTWIRE
Titanium Grade 7
Titanium grade 7 wire is a corrosion-resistant commercially pure titanium alloy containing a small addition of palladium. Mechanically it is broadly comparable with grade 2, but the palladium addition significantly improves resistance to corrosion in reducing environments, particularly where acids, chlorides and aggressive process media are present. This makes grade 7 particularly valuable in chemical processing equipment where standard commercially pure titanium may encounter conditions outside its optimum corrosion range. It retains good ductility, fabrication characteristics and weldability and is available as welding wire under the ERTi-7 designation.
