Stainless Steel Wire 316Ti
316Ti stainless steel wire or 1.4571 has an addition of titanium. The titanium content which is around 5 X carbon content stabilises the structure of the 316 at temperatures above 800°C. This stabalisation prevents carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries and protects the material from corrosion. This allows the material to be held at higher temperatures for a longer period without precipitation occurring. In general 316Ti has similar physical and mechanical properties to 316.
