Elgiloy® Alloy
Elgiloy® (a registered trademark of Elgiloy Specialty Metals).alloy is a Cobalt-Chromium-Nickel-Molybdenum alloy which has very high strength combined with excellent corrosion resistance, and high fatigue strength. Elgiloy® alloy wire is outstanding in sour well environments due it’s ability to be highly resistant to sulfide stress corrosion cracking. The material can operate at a maximum of 850°F (454°C) in cryogenic temperatures. Alongside these benefits the material is is virtually immune to crevice and stress corrosion and pitting even at the highest strength levels.
