C103 Copper Wire
C103 Copper wire or 2.0040 (which has as a minimum copper content of 99.95%) is a commercially pure grade of copper that is subject to a special manufacturing process that gives the material an oxygen-free finish. Oxygen free copper ensures that high levels of electrical conductivity can be achieved whilst offering a low susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement when heated in a reducing atmosphere. This makes this type of copper suitable for various types of welding.
