WINTWIRE
Titanium Grade 3
Titanium grade 3 wire is a commercially pure titanium grade offering higher strength than grades 1 and 2 while maintaining the corrosion resistance, weldability and useful ductility associated with the CP titanium family. Its increased oxygen content provides greater tensile and yield strength, making grade 3 suitable where grade 2 does not provide sufficient mechanical performance but the use of an alloyed titanium grade is unnecessary. It performs particularly well in chemical, marine and process-industry environments where both corrosion resistance and moderate strength are important. Grade 3 can also be supplied as welding wire under the ERTi-3 designation. For still higher strength within the commercially pure family, grade 4 is the natural progression.
